Wearing Shalwar Kameez with Shalwar tucked inside Boots

Its quite a sight to see a Pakistani or an Indian lady wearing boots with her shalwar tucked inside them. It is quite commonly seen in cold places. At times its a necessity. Not only do boots protect a lady's feet from the cold, but it also protects her in case she decides to walk in a rough place with a lot of wild grass where there is danger of ants or snakes biting.

If going hiking or even in the fields, its preffered that a lady dons a heavy pair of atleast calf length boots. Lace up boots such as doc martens that cover 2/3rd's of a leg, which is above mid calf length, will prove to be the best choice for the occassion. Such boots with a steel toe, lugged thick hard sole, preferably with steel taps on sole for extra protection, will enable the lady to walk over literally anything with ease, comfort and without fear. Since the boots would be covering the shalwar, any thorns or stray pebbles and dust will have no effect on the shalwar, leaving it well protected. Its also recommended that a pair of heavy bootsocks be worn under the boots to provide maximum comfort for the feet. The bootsocks not only help with providing comfort and added cushioning, but also soak up any sweat. Its recommended that the boots be made of leather since leather breathes and shapes itself to the form of the foot, therefore providing even more comfort in the long term. The lugged sole of the boot will provide slip resistant protection in wet places allowing the lady to easily hike over rocks even. Ofcourse, being trousered in a soft shalwar, she would effortlessly and freely climb even high places, or even jump over them if she pleases to do so. The hard sole will also prove useful if any snake or venemous bug is encountered, which can would stand no chance under such a heavy sole. Having shalwar tucked inside the boot will also have the added advantage that no bug or insect can crawl over the surface of the long boot and drop inside it, since the shalwar would be slightly puffing out of the boot.

When tucking the shalwar inside a calf length boot, its recommended that it be tucked in as neatly as possible. This is very easy if a bootsock is worn and the shalwar tucked inside that first, and then then boot is worn over it. Not only does this keep the shalwar nicely tucked in the boots, but it also creates those lovely folds in the shalwar because of its soft fabric. If the kameez is 3 inches above knee, not exactly like a short kameez but a cross between normal and short kameez, which is well fitted then not only does this provide a beautiful contrast with the bends and folds in the shalwar compared to the smoothness and straightness of the kameez, but it also provides more comfort in the sense that it would be properly fitted.

When the shalwar is tucked inside the boots, it creates those certain bends and folds in the fabric. As the boots are high in length, covering 2/3rds of the leg of the lady, when she walks the shalwar's soft fabric will form little creases which will go away in an instant. The sight is just mesmerizing. The comibination of a soft shalwar with menacing looking heavy boots is just breathtaking, especially when they are wholly visible to the eye.

When walking in snow the feet of the lady would be totally protected from any cold as well as wetness. The heavy sole of the boot will flatten and crush any snow beneath her feet and if there is any heavy object in front, the steel toe will prove very useful in protecting her toes. The slip resistant sole will also prove useful as it will prevent slipping. Calf length lace up boots will be sufficiently high enough to protect against even 6 inches of snow, without any worry of getting the shalwar wet. If there are any sharp objects under the snow, or even loose pebbles, the boots being heavy with a wide sole will sufficiently protect the feet.

The laces of the boots not only help in fastening the boot securely to the foot but will also make the woman appear very domineering and confident. Anyone who watches her will know that even though she is wearing soft feminine shalwar kameez, with a dupatta, yet she is not to be messed around with as she has heavy boots on her feet which she can use to kick in order to defend herself if necessary. Indeed the steel toe boots would hurt a lot, anyone who is unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end. The laces would go inside the tongue of the boot in two places, upper and middle, to prevent the tongue of the boot from moving inside. If the lady has wide calves, laces prove extremely useful as its most zip up boots cannot fit on a the feet of such a lady. Therefore she can adjust the boot by fastening the laces according to the width of her calve.

A lot of policewomen in Pakistan dress up this way already, and with a reason indeed. Its suitable to dress like this for women in all walks of life. Even a housewife cleaning the kitchen, washing bathroom etc will find it useful to wear boots to protect her shalwar and her feet. Its also useful to wear such boots if a lady is out on a walk in the evening with her husband as any ants or snakes would not stand a chance under the heavy soles of her boots, if she plans to walk in grass, or even in the lawn of her house.

There are a lot of women of different cultures who wear boots. Most women in Pakistan don't because of hot climate, though it is quite noticable in colder areas of Pakistan where women do wear boots to protect themselves. Many women in UK wear boots with skirt and look gorgeous, and it would be perfectly fine for Pakistani women to don a pair of boots with their glamorous shalwar kameez.

Not only does shalwar kameez let a Pakistani woman exhibit a signature of Pakistani culture but its also comfortable and glamorous as well as preserving of modesty. Wearing boots is not at all culturally incorrect or wrong in any way, cause its still covering up her body. If anything, tucking a shalwar inside boots will only help in covering up better, since there would be no fear of shalwar hiking above calves accidently.

Boots magnify the beauty of legs and calves. If a lady is a bit on chubby side like most Pakistani ladies, her well-fed legs would appear not only modesty covered but even more shapely and mysterious. The upper calve would be pronounced where the boot ends and shalwar starts.

Donning a dupatta with shalwar kameez makes a lady look more culturally aware, and the boots on her feet provides the perfect contrast. The dupatta shows her as a soft, gentle creature while the boots exhibit her independance and confidence. In all, she would look like a rose with thorns. Beautiful, elegant, and with a 'look but dont touch' message.

If the lady ever wanted a her boots shined by a bootshining person outside, she would no long have to take her boots off or even raise her shalwar. She could just stand in front of the person, or her servant, as he shines her boots while her feet are encased inside.

In cold weather there is also an added advantage of having boots tucked inside the shalwar, that of air not getting inside the shalwar through the hems. This makes the shalwar even more warmer in cold weather, therefore allowing the lady to go about her chores more comfortably.

Another advantage of wearing shalwar kameez with shalwar tucked inside the boots is that if the lady ever needs to climb over something she can easily do that. That is another reason why policewomen to dress up in this fashion. Not only is it dangerous and unstable to climb over a wall or such in high heels, but the shalwar might also get entangled. If tucked inside boots the shalwar will remain nicely and securely in place. This can never be done in a sari or even a skirt.

If the lady decides to visit a friend who keeps pets, such as cats or dogs, then she won't have to fear any dog hairs getting on her feet. Dogs mostly have a habit of playfully rubbing against feet and calves. No hairs will get on the shalwar as it would be inside the boots. If a dog starts licking her feet she wouldnt have to worry about a thing as her feet would be safe inside her steel toe boots. Therefore she can sit and relax with her friend knowing that the dog or even a cat can cause her no possible harm because heavy boots are protecting her feet.

If a lady is tall and chubby, then dressed in this manner would make her look amazing. Supposing she is wearing yellow or pink silken shalwar kameez which has a tailored and fitted kameez that is just shy of 3 inches from her knees, with a slim yet comfortable fit shalwar, tucked into heavy steel toe boots that come upto 3 to 4 inches below her knees, and a dupatta loosely draped over her head. Moreover, being chubby and tall, dressed in this manner would make any man fall at her feet.
